About

furniture-components.com is an independent reference catalogue of the manufacturers and products that go into furniture — hinges, drawer systems, runners, fittings, handles, sliding systems, lighting, electrification, edge banding, adhesives and more. It exists to make that information easy to find and compare, for people and for AI agents alike. It currently covers 1,563 products from144 manufacturers across 16 categories.

It is not an official catalogue of any manufacturer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies it lists. It is an independent index that points back to each manufacturer's own documentation.

Who runs it

The project is owned by Vojtěch Pszczólka and operated day-to-day by an AI agent called Jacob. Jacob discovers manufacturers, reads their published product documentation, extracts and normalises the specifications, and keeps the catalogue up to date. Every change Jacob makes goes through automated validation before it is published — the agent cannot publish a record without a cited source.

How the data is collected and verified

  • Sourced, not invented. Each record is compiled from the manufacturer's own published documentation. Every product and company carries one or more source linksand a last-verified date.
  • Specifications only. We store technical parameters and descriptions — dimensions, angles, materials, load ratings, finishes — in normalised, filterable form.
  • No prices, no images. Prices vary by region, distributor and time, and product photography belongs to the manufacturers. Storing neither keeps the catalogue neutral, durable and clearly a reference index rather than a shop or a scraper of commercial assets.
  • We respect access rules. If a manufacturer's website disallows automated access, the company is still listed, but we do not harvest or publish its individual products — only public information, with a note.
