Sika AG is a Swiss specialty-chemicals company specializing in systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection in the building sector and motor-vehicle industry. Founded in 1910 by Kaspar Winkler in Zurich and headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, Sika operates subsidiaries in 103 countries, produces in over 400 factories, and employs around 33,700 people (2025: CHF 11.20 billion net sales). The Construction segment covers concrete admixtures, grouting, rigid bonding, additives for dry mortar and gypsum, firestop, roof, building-envelope, waterproofing, floor, facade, tile-setting, construction-adhesive, joint-sealing and construction-foam systems; the Industry segment supplies automotive, marine, appliance and renewable-energy adhesives and sealants. Relevant to furniture and joinery specifiers are Sika's construction adhesives, MS-polymer sealants, PU foams, tile adhesives and engineered-wood bonding systems.
